The gorges of the Sesia river are among the most spectacular places in the valley. Even with little water in summer, the gorges are runnable and rafts, hydrospeeds and obviously kayaks descend there!
In addition to the beauty of the scenery, the gorges also lend themselves to teaching and kayaking technique courses. Each rapid is followed by a pool, and some passages are very technical but not dangerous. Although it is only a few kilometres, the descent lasts a couple of hours and the most beautiful rapids can be descended several times for training!
The Alpin Rider Center instructors will accompany you in these narrow and clear gorges and help you progress in your kayaking technique. Water, when compressed between rock walls, moves differently, and we will teach you to read the currents and use them to navigate effectively and elegantly!
