Sermenza Middle & Gorge

The perfect environment in which to improve your technique and to reinforce the basics required to descend class III and IV white water in style. Together we will work on using the whole body to steer the kayak, enter and exit small eddies and perform the essential “boof”. We will also use this fantastic environment to work on reading rapids and establishing lines, offering insights on where and how to perform the correct paddle strokes.
Once you gain confidence on the grade III section of the river, we can test your technique in the spectacular sequence of rapids of the Sermenza Gorge. Here the water is constricted, creating spectacular and testing white water features. This course will focus primarily on mastering on the boof stroke, understanding sensitivity of the blade grip in turbulent water and on the effective reading of class IV rapids.
