The "Pearl of the Alps", the Egua is the steepest, drenaline-pumping and funniest waterpark you can find in the Italian Alps. It is considered as one of the most beautiful tributary of the Sesia, probably of the country. Short and intense, it will challenge and amuse you and will quickly be inserted in your favorite top 10 in the world.
Its marked steepness will allow us to work on and improve the boof technique alongside other steep creeking skills. Despite the Egua’s short length, to safely tackle this stretch we will need stop and analyze each of the rapids in turn. This inspection process is a core white water skill allowing us to read the currents and find the best line to run all the river’s drops in safety and style!
This stretch also allows us to work on river safety and rescue techniques, essential for anyone wishing to run class V white water.
This course is a must for all intermediate-advanced boaters looking to progress onto the pool-drop style of steep white water for which the Egua is internationally famous.
