The paths of the Valley - Campertogno: Argnaccia and Cangello

Right above Campertogno, attached to Alpin Rider Center, two mountain villages of rare beauty are hidden: Il Cangello and Argnaccia.

Walking along the so-called "art path", due to the numerous chapels and churches present along the route, in an hour's walk you can reach these wonderful mountain pastures immersed in dense centuries-old woods. The atmosphere you will find once you arrive will take you back in time, allowing you to totally relax and enter into symbiosis with nature.

The Art Path will take you to discover the sixteenth-century oratory of San Marco, frescoed by Orgiazzi and furnished with an artistic iron gate and a seventeenth-century altarpiece, followed by 15 chapels almost all dedicated to the Madonna and almost all frescoed by the Avondo brothers, then arriving (15 minutes) at the small church of the Madonna degli Angeli, built in 1686 on a primitive chapel from 1481, also with frescoes by Avondo on the walls and vault. The church of the Madonna del Callone will be the last work of art before arriving at Argnaccia.

Medium-easy difficulty route, it is suitable for everyone even without particular preparation. 500 meters of altitude difference following CAI path 278 which starts from Campertogno.
