You will always be supported by two expert Guides and, occasionally, a safety kayaker ready to assist you. Furthermore, your wetsuit and life jacket are designed to help you stay afloat.For the more adventurous, there is also the option to experience navigating a rapid by swimming—always under the strict supervision and coordination of your Guide, who will ensure it is done in complete safety.

What is a typical rafting trip like?

The first thing to know is that your booking time marks the actual start of your activity. For this reason, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early: this gives us plenty of time to welcome you at reception and get you fitted with your gear in a relaxed atmosphere.At the scheduled time, you will head out with our Guides in our vans for a short transfer (about 18 minutes) to the selected section of the Sesia River. Once at the put-in point, after the safety briefing and a short theory lesson, you’ll put on your life jacket and helmet, and you’ll be ready to go!The descent always starts with a 'water confidence' test—a jump or a quick dip :)—which is essential to help your wetsuit warm up. Then, it's straight into the rapids!At the end of the descent, our van will bring you back to the Alpin Rider Center in Mollia for a well-deserved hot shower and, why not, a delicious Exo Burger ;).
