The Valsesia PCV 1 bicycle path which passes right behind the Alpin Rider Center will take you towards the bottom of the valley till Balmuccia.
Following the course of the Sesia river, you will pass through woods, villages and hamlets. The track is always well signposted.
Once in Scopello the cycle path passes through the Chioso hamlet, pay attention to the crossroads before the climb to Alpe di Mera, with a nice up and down itinerary up to the Piane di Scopa.
The stretch is flat up to the Gole dei Dinelli where it continues on the right of the river after passing a beautiful Roman bridge. Be careful of the arduous route with steep sections that runs along this wonderful stretch of river, the Sesia Gorges! An E-bike is recommended.
The arrival is in Balmuccia where there are more options: return along the same route, follow a ring on asphalt with the possibility of deviating onto secondary roads with little traffic or by Bus/Shuttle.
