Family Rafting is the rafting experience designed for the whole family! A complete adventure for mum, dad, and kids on a section of the Sesia River with gentle, child‑friendly rapids. You don’t need any particular athletic or swimming skills — just the desire to enjoy an unforgettable moment together in a unique Alpine setting. Family Rafting, like other rafting activities, is available depending on the Sesia’s water level. What do you need for rafting? Even though you’ll be given a flotation aid — basically a life jacket — it’s recommended that you know how to swim or at least aren’t afraid of water, have normal motor skills, and, since this is an outdoor activity, that you’re not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Bring sneakers you don’t mind getting wet, a swimsuit, and a kit for a hot shower when you get back. What the activity includes Once you check in, you’ll receive all the rafting gear: wetsuit, water jacket, life jacket, and helmet. You’ll then take a short ride with our vans to the starting point where, after a briefing, you’ll get a quick theory lesson on how to handle the raft. Once you reach the riverbank, you’ll do a small test in the water… and then off you go into the gentle rapids of the Sesia River! At the end of the descent, a van will be waiting to bring you back to the Alpin Rider Center base. What if it rains? Rafting is guaranteed anyway! If the water level requires it, the center may change the section of the river to ensure the experience you booked. Third half at the Alpin Rider Center Food Truck And the fun doesn’t stop there! Book a barbecue, try our famous burgers made with local products, enjoy an aperitif with our boards of local cheeses and cured meats! Those who book the “third half” in advance get a special surprise gift! Equipment fee: full equipment included in the price.
